BRAZILIAN MUSIC
Inspired by the work of the great Brazilian masters Simone is currently writing bossa nova and samba compositions for her upcoming album, once again in collaboration with Karel Boehlee. Simone is also currently collaborating with Ferdinand van Duuren, for his ‘Brasil Project’, writing lyrics in Portuguese that are sung by herself in this particular project .

Do you want to listen to a live performance? Along with her band ‘Luz da Manhã’ Simone ensures a sultry swing evening with well-known Bossa nova & Samba styles. Their repertoire includes songs from the great Antonio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, Elis Regina, Céu, Samba-classics by Martinho da Villa and some of the bands own compositions. For the real Brazil feel Luz da Manhã can be booked with extra instruments like Cavaquinho and Pandeiro. As The Simone Pormes Quartet the band can also be booked for corporate events or private party’s.
